Please be aware that refunds for cancelled bookings can only be given within 50 days of the original booking and a 10% banking charge will be subtracted from the original booking costs, No refunds will be given for cancellations within 72 hrs of arrival time. Completed as a private residence 1854, this magnificent château is the jewel of the region, now hosting an Elegant Bed & Breakfast as well as Fairytale Wedding Venue. The Château de Challain is located only thirty minutes outside the town of Angers in the Loire Valley, the region of Castles, and only one and a half hours from Paris by TGV (High Speed Train).

The Castle is easy to get to from England and Ireland by flying direct into Nantes airport.

Weddings at the Chateau

The Château is full of magic for the wedding couple, and offers a charming retreat for the guests. There is a town chapel within walking distance, and a smaller, private chapel in the Château, which features a stunning hand-painted gold ceiling.

Small receptions include cocktails, a four-course meal, and in-house service.
Regional wine and champagne are also available, prices vary. Larger receptions are available through Traiteur (auxiliary caterers, ours are Michelin stared). Rates change depending on the season and promotions.
